Need Multiple Merging Calendars?

You can also use a system of multiple merging calendars. Say you have a headquarters (HQ) main office and 10 branch offices. Each branch office can have its own calendar and enter its own events. The main office can display and print any combination of those 10 sets of events on one calendar, with each of the 10 sets color coded as to source. Or all the branch office calendars can automatically show their own events and events entered by the HQ to show on all calendars. For an example, see Oregon Activist Calendar. Multiple Merging Public Interest Calendars

We are willing to host multiple merging calendars open to a community's public interest groups. The first one is the Oregon Activist Calendar, which shows events scheduled by several public interest groups in Oregon. If you would like us to create a similar calendar system for your community (state, city, nation), please contact the Calendars Net Webmaster. Note that you can create a less sophisticated system of "many calendars in one" by using the Search feature to set up "groups" of events within a single, nonmerging calendar.

If Internet Explorer Fails, Please Use Netscape 4.0+

Netscape 4.0+ handles the javascript elements of this site better than MS Internet Explorer. In some instances, IE will fail while Netscape will succeed at the same task. Your browser doesn't need to read java or javascript in order to set up or use a calendar. Reading javascript is needed only for using the text search function and choosing event colors from a palette. (You can also control event colors with no java by entering the HTML color codes directly.) Netscape 4.x and MS Internet Explorer 4.x can handle the javascript elements, although Netscape 4.x handles them better. Pre-4.0 versions of both browsers have other problems in creating or editing calendars, although they can be used to view calendars.
